Big News! I'm now a staff writer at Fantasy-Faction.com! Cool, right? Now you can read an article from me once a month around the third week. Fantasy-Faction is a fun site, and I'm really happy to have his opportunity. Great people in the forums there, and I love the discussions. Marc has a real gem in his hands. Soul Born and Writing Updates with a 5 star review!

First, I want to thank everyone who entered my give-away at Goodreads.com. When it ended, over 1,300 people had entered to win a copy of SOUL BORN. Not bad for a debut author at a small press publisher, right?

This week SOUL BORN should be popping up as an e-book at Amazon.com. I will announce it on twitter and facebook when I see it. Also, over the past few days two new reviews arrived at Goodreads.com. A 4/5 appeared over the weekend, which the reviewer plans to post on their blog soon and a 5/5 from The Caffeinated Diva Reads...which can be read here. http://thecaffeinateddivareads.multifacetedmama.com/?p=1738

Awards - Tis the Season! Thanks All!

Growing up I always wanted to win a trophy. Who didn't?  It wasn't until I was 29 years old that I was rewarded with two trophies at a martial arts tournament, one for a 2nd and another for a 3rd place win.  Couple years later as my buddies and I were having XBox LAN party tournaments, I went and had custom trophies made for the winners. It's always nice to be rewarded for your hard work.  Even if it's slamming your friends in the face with rockets. Or in my case, having Chris gun me down over and over and over again.

This week I received two awards from entries in the Preditors and Editors (P&E) Reader's Poll. 

My novel SOUL BORN won best SF/F novel for 2010.

And my short story ENDING SUMMER NIGHTS came in Top Ten (9th place) in the horror short story category.

Again, I want to thank everyone who voted for me. I am especially proud of the Bram Stoker Award recommendation I received this year too. Maybe next year I will get a nomination!
